SRH vs GT Live Score, IPL 2025: Sunrisers Hyderabad look to reinvent after triple setback vs Gujarat Titans

Aggression at All Costs Backfiring for SRH
SRH began the tournament with fireworks, smashing a record 286 in their opening match. However, that ultra-aggressive template has backfired in their subsequent outings, with team totals of 190, 163, and 120 highlighting a steep decline.
Currently languishing at the bottom of the table, SRH, under the leadership of World Cup-winning captain Pat Cummins, appear to be struggling for control and balance.
Batting Stars Need to Step Up
The lack of consistency with the bat has been glaring. Big names like Travis Head, Ishan Kishan, and Heinrich Klaasen have failed to deliver in recent games. While SRH did post 190 in a losing effort against Lucknow Super Giants at the same venue, it was more due to reckless strokeplay than disciplined bowling from the opposition.
With pressure mounting, SRH’s frontline batters must find their rhythm quickly — another couple of defeats could all but end their playoff hopes.
Bowling Concerns Mount for SRH
SRH’s bowling has looked equally fragile. Young leg-spinner Zeeshan Ansari is the only standout so far, picking up four wickets at an economy of 9.75. In contrast, skipper Cummins (ER 12.30), Adam Zampa (ER 11.75), and veteran Mohammed Shami (ER 10.00) have all proven expensive.
A worrying sign is that none of SRH’s key bowlers have bowled their full quota of four overs in all matches, indicating a lack of control and penetration.
Titans Hitting Stride After RCB Rout
In contrast, Gujarat Titans are on the rise following a commanding win over Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Chinnaswamy. Jos Buttler roared back to form, while B Sai Sudharsan and skipper Shubman Gill provided a solid platform at the top.
With Sherfane Rutherford and Rahul Tewatia as proven finishers and Shahrukh Khan the only real weak link in the batting unit, GT look well-settled.
Rabada’s Absence a Blow, But Options Galore
GT will, however, miss their ace pacer Kagiso Rabada, who has flown back home due to personal reasons. His absence opens up a few selection dilemmas. If the Titans want to bolster their batting, Glenn Phillips — who also offers off-spin and is regarded as the world’s best fielder — could be a smart inclusion.
For a like-for-like pace replacement, South African quick Gerald Coetzee is a strong contender. Alternatively, Afghanistan’s Karim Janat could come in as a versatile all-round option.
Titans Have the Edge in Bowling
With Mohammed Siraj in terrific form and Prasidh Krishna offering pace and bounce, GT’s new-ball attack looks sharper. Rashid Khan, though not at his mysterious best anymore, continues to hold value with his experience, while R Sai Kishore’s spirited performances add depth to the spin department.
Compared to SRH’s faltering bowling unit, Gujarat Titans appear to have a more balanced and reliable attack.
