Banks will remain closed across most states, excluding Madhya Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, New Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Meghalaya, and Himachal Pradesh. The date commemorates Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s birth anniversary alongside various regional New Year festivities.
April 15 (Tuesday) – Bengali New Year, Himachal Day, Bohag Bihu
Banks will be closed in Assam, West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh due to regional celebrations.
April 18 (Friday) – Good Friday
Banks will not operate in most states on this Christian observance day, except in Tripura, Assam, Rajasthan, Jammu, Himachal Pradesh, and Srinagar.
April 21 (Monday) – Garia Puja
Banking institutions in Tripura will be closed for this tribal festival.
April 29 (Tuesday) – Bhagwan Shri Parshuram Jayanti
Banking services in Himachal Pradesh will be suspended to observe Lord Parshuram’s birth anniversary, the sixth avatar of Vishnu.
April 30 (Wednesday) – Basava Jayanti and Akshaya Tritiya
Karnataka’s banks will remain closed to observe Basava Jayanti, celebrating Basavanna, the Lingayat sect’s founder, and Akshaya Tritiya, a day considered fortunate for wealth accumulation.
