Gujarat Board SSC result 2025: Girls, English medium students outperform peers

AHMEDABAD: The Class X results of the Gujarat Board this year were 83.08%, which is 0.62% higher compared to 2024. This year, the number of students appearing for the SSC examination increased by 66,294 compared to last year.This year, a total of 23,047 students got 90%, which increased from 23,247 students compared to 2024. The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board on Thursday declared the results for SSC. Of the 7.36 lakh regular students who appeared for the examination, only 6.21 lakh cleared their examination, which was a pass percentage of 83.01%.Of the 78,613 repeaters who appeared for the examination, only 32.26% cleared their examination. Girls once again showed that they were much better than the boys. The pass percentage of girls was 7.69% more than that of the boys. The success ratio of girls among regular students was 87.24%, while that of the boys was only 79.56%. The results of the regular students from the English medium were 92.58%, while it was 81.79% for the Gujarati medium students. The pass percentage of English medium students was 10.79% higher than that of Gujarati medium students.According to board officials, 18,124 regular students failed in one subject, while 37,327 students failed to clear their examination in two subjects. These students will be allowed to take the re-test, which will be held later this year.Direct link to the official websiteIn at least three main subjects, including Social Science, Science, and Standard and Basic Mathematics, the students scored 100 out of 100. In Social Science, 526 students got full marks, while it was 5,531 students in Science, 1,710 in Basic Maths, and 1,534 in Standard Maths. Even 383 students in Sanskrit also got 100 out of 100.Among the districts, Banaskantha had the highest pass percentage of 89.24%, while the lowest pass percentage was in Kheda, which was 72.55%. However, this year, the number of schools getting 100% results was 294, which was 281 in 2020 and 336 in 2019.This year, the number of schools getting 100% results was 1,574. The number of schools with less than 30% pass percentage was 201 in 2025, while the same was 264 in 2024.
