Triumph Motorcycles has silently implemented a price hike on its entry-level model, the Speed T4. The bike, which was launched in September last year year, now carries an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 2.03 lakh, reflecting a hike of Rs 4,121. Previously, the Speed T4 was available at Rs 1.98 lakh, following a limited-period price reduction of Rs 18,000 announced in December 2024. It is worth noting that the model is available in four dual-tone colour options, of which, the Caspian Blue-Pearl Metallic White variant is still listed at Rs 1.99 lakh on the company’s website.

The Speed T4 is designed specifically for India, sharing its platform with the Speed 400 but with certain cost-effective modifications to keep the pricing competitive. These changes include a shift from the more premium USD fork on the Speed 400 to a conventional telescopic fork for the T4. It also comes equipped with bias-ply tyres instead of the radial ones found on its sibling.

Powering the Speed T4 is a 398cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that delivers 30.6 bhp and 36 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. While it shares its engine setup with the Speed 400, the T4’s output is slightly restricted. In terms of design, the motorcycle sports a single-piece seat and a semi-digital instrument cluster.Braking duties are handled by a 300 mm disc at the front and a 230 mm disc at the rear, complemented by dual-channel ABS. Even with the recent price hike, the Speed T4 remains a very competitively priced mid-capacity option for buyers and also the British manufacturer’s most affordable model in the country.
