MG Windsor Pro deliveries begin: Price, range, features and more
MG Motor India recently launched the Windsor Pro electric car in the Indian market, initially priced at Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Positioned at the top of the Windsor EV lineup, the Pro variant offers significant enhancements in design, and features and a bigger battery pack with more range. For buyers opting for MG’s Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, the Windsor Pro is available at Rs 12.49 lakh, excluding the battery cost. The introductory price of Rs 17.49 lakh was limited to the first 8,000 units and sold out within three days. Following this, the Windsor Pro is now priced at Rs 18.10 lakh (ex-showroom). And now, the deliveries have begun for the first 8,000 customers who were eligible for the introductory price of Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
The MG Windsor Pro variant brings notable upgrades, with the most significant being a larger 52.9 kWh battery pack that delivers a claimed range of up to 449 km on a full charge. Despite the battery upgrade, it continues to use the same electric motor, producing 136 hp and 200 Nm of peak torque. Charging options include a 7.4 kW AC charger, which takes approximately 9.5 hours for a full charge, and a 60 kW DC fast charger that charges the battery from 20% to 80% in just 50 minutes. On the exterior, the Windsor Pro receives minor cosmetic enhancements, including newly designed 18-inch alloy wheels. It is also offered in three new colour options: Celadon Blue, Glaze Red, and Aurora Silver.
A key technological addition is the introduction of Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging capabilities, enabling the vehicle to power external devices or even charge other electric vehicles. Feature-wise, the Windsor Pro retains many highlights from the standard model, such as a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 8.8-inch digital driver’s display, panoramic glass roof, wireless phone charger, 9-speaker Infinity audio system, 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake, and six airbags. The interior now features a refreshed two-tone ivory and black cabin theme, and a powered tailgate has been added for added convenience. It also comes equipped with an ADAS suite that includes adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, autonomous emergency braking, front collision warning, and intelligent headlamp control.
