Mahindra & Mahindra has achieved a new milestone in its electric vehicle journey, with over 10,000 units of the XEV 9e and BE 6 electric SUVs delivered in just 70 days since deliveries began in mid March. The company is currently offering only the fully loaded ‘Pack Three’ variants of both models, which come with a large 79 kWh battery pack.While Mahindra hasn’t revealed the individual sales figures for each model, the initial trend clearly shows that the XEV 9e is proving more popular. Customer interest in the two models has been strong from the beginning. On the first day of bookings, Mahindra received a combined 30,179 orders, with the XEV 9e accounting for 56 percent of them and the BE 6 getting the remaining 44 percent. The total value of bookings stood at Rs 8,472 crore.
The XEV 9e is priced between Rs 21.90 lakh and Rs 30.50 lakh, and the BE 6 starts at Rs 18.90 lakh, going up to Rs 26.90 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.The XEV 9e offers a claimed range of 656 km on a single charge, while the BE 6 edges ahead with a 683 km range. Both SUVs can be charged from 20 to 80 percent in just 20 minutes using a 140 kW DC fast charger. The XEV 9e produces 282 bhp and 380 Nm of torque. Inside the cabin, Mahindra has equipped the SUVs with a high-tech setup that includes three screens, a 16-speaker sound system, an AR-based heads-up display, and cameras to monitor both the driver and passengers.
