Tata Harrier EV launched at Rs 21.49 lakh: Range, specs, features & more

Tata Motors has further expanded its electric vehicle lineup with the launch of the much-anticipated Harrier EV. The model debuts at an introductory price of Rs 21.49 lakh, ex-showroom, and now sits as the flagship model in the company’s EV stable which includes six other models. Bookings for the electric SUV will begin on July 2, 2025. Here’s a quick look at everything that you need to know about the model.
Tata Harrier EV: All you need to know
The Harrier EV is built on Tata’s Acti.ev platform and will be available in both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations. Notably, the Harrier EV will be the only model in Tata’s entire portfolio, including ICE models, to feature AWD capabilities. In terms of design, the overall silhouette looks quite similar to the ICE version but comes with EV-specific changes such as closed-off grille, redesigned bumpers, aerodynamically-optimised alloy wheels and of course, ‘EV’ badgings. The EV will be available in four colour choices: Pristine White, Nainital Nocturne, Empowered Oxide, and Pure Grey.Speaking of battery packs, it is offered with two options: a 65 kWh unit that powers a single motor on the rear axle and a larger 75 kWh battery that is mated to a dual motor setup – on each axle – for AWD functionalities. As for the specs, power figures peak at 396 hp and 504Nm. The SUV can achieve 100 kmph from a standstill in a claimed 6.3 seconds. In order to eliminate range anxiety among buyers, the top-spec version promises a range of 627km (MIDC) on a single charge.

As for the features, the Harrier EV houses a massive 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, accompanied by a 12.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster. As for the infotainment screen, the company says that it is the first car in the industry to feature a Samsung Neo QLED screen, offering a superior picture quality.Other highlights include ventilated and powered front seats, panoramic sunroof, illuminated steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, V2l, V2V functionalities, JBL sound system with Dolby Atmos 5.1, four drive modes and six terrain modes: In terms of safety, it gets six airbags, Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, a built-in dashcam.The electric SUV also supports OTA updates, DrivePay integration for digital payments at charging stations and more. One of the key features comes in the form of a 540-degree camera system, which not only offers a 360-degree view but also lets drivers see what’s underneath the car.
