TANCET 2025 counselling registration begins for MBA, MCA admissions: Check complete schedule here
The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Tamil Nadu, has officially commenced the counselling process for the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) 2025 for MBA and MCA admissions. This centralised counselling process is designed for candidates aspiring to secure seats in postgraduate management and computer applications programs offered by various government, government-aided, and university departments in institutions like Anna University and Annamalai University.The registration process for TANCET MBA and MCA counselling will commence June 5, 2025 onwards. The counselling process will be conducted in both online and offline rounds. The counselling process primarily involves four stages including registration, choice filling, seat allotment, and document verification.

TANCET 2025 counselling fees
Candidates appearing for TANCET MBA and MCA counselling process will be required to pay a fee amount while registering online. Check category wise fee below:
- Registration Fee
- General & OBC candidates: Rs. 800
- SC/SCA/ST candidates from Tamil Nadu: Rs. 400
- Initial Deposit
- OC, BC, BCM, MBC, DNC candidates: Rs. 5,000
- SC, ST, SCA candidates from Tamil Nadu: Rs. 1,000
Note: The initial deposit is part of the tuition fee and will be adjusted accordingly.
Who is eligible?
To participate in the TANCET 2025 counselling, candidates must:
- Have a valid TANCET 2025 scorecard.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved categories).
- Be a resident of Tamil Nadu (for state quota seats).
- Meet the specific eligibility criteria for the MBA or MCA program.
Required documents for TANCET counselling
Candidates must upload the following documents during the registration process:
- Class 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates.
- Undergraduate degree mark sheets and certificates.
- Transfer Certificate (TC) from the last attended institution.
- TANCET 2025 admit card and scorecard.
- Community certificate (if applicable).
- Nativity certificate (for Tamil Nadu candidates).
- Passport-sized photographs.
