2025 Honda CBR 650R, CB 650R launched in India: Price, highlights & more
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has launched the E-Clutch variants of its popular middleweight models: the CBR650R and CB650R. The duo has been priced at Rs 10.40 lakh and Rs 9.60 lakh, ex-showroom, respectively. This means that the models now come at a premium of Rs 40,000 over the standard models. Honda CBR650R and CB650R launched: What is the E-Clutch system?
Developed by Honda in November 2023, the E-Clutch is a convenience technology that eliminates the need for a manual clutch lever during gear shifts or when coming to a stop. The system uses servo motors to automatically manage clutch engagement. Riders do, however, have the option to switch off the system if they prefer manual clutch operation.
Honda CBR650R and CB650R launched: Key highlights
Powering both the CBR650R and CB650R is a 648cc, inline 4-cylinder engine that delivers 93.87 hp at 12,000 rpm and 63 Nm of torque at 9,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, now complemented by the E-Clutch.The motorcycles also come equipped with 41 mm Showa SFF-BP USD forks at the front and an adjustable mono-shock at the rear. Stopping power comes from dual 310 mm discs upfront and a 240 mm rotor at the rear, aided with dual-channel ABS.
Both models feature a 5.0-inch colour TFT display with smartphone connectivity via the Honda RoadSync app, enabling riders to access calls, messages, and navigation through Bluetooth. Additionally, the CBR650R is available in Grand Prix Red and Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic.Bookings for both models are now open across all BigWing dealerships and the official Honda website. According to the company, deliveries are set to begin by the last week of May 2025.
