However, Ravichandran Ashwin turned the tide with a double-wicket over, first removing the well-set Sanju Samson (41 off 31 balls; 3×4, 2×6) to break the 98-run second-wicket stand, and then, three balls later, dismissing Vaibhav Suryavanshi (57 off 33 balls; 4×4, 4×6). Rajasthan Royals ended their forgettable season on a high note, securing a thumping six-wicket win over Chennai Super Kings (CSK) with 17 balls to spare, thanks to a brilliant bowling performance followed by an assaulting batting display.
