The Maharashtra FYJC(First Year Junior College) Admission 2025 process has commenced today, May 21. This is for students who have passed Class 10 and want to take admission in Class 11 in Arts, Commerce, or Science streams.The admission is managed by theMaharashtra School Education and Sports Department. This year, 9,281 junior colleges across the state are taking part, with over 20 lakh seats available for students. The online registration portal will remain open until May 28, 2025. Students must apply through the official website, mahafyjcadmissions.in. This online system makes the admission process easy and fair for everyone. Students can choose their preferred colleges and submit their documents online. The government has also made some changes to the rules to make the system better and more transparent. Maharashtra FYJC 2025 Application Process

The entire FYJC admission process is conducted online through the official portal: mahafyjcadmissions.in. The application comprises two parts:Part 1: Student RegistrationTo register online, students have to fill in personal details such as name, date of birth, and contact information. Upload the following list of documents:

  • Class 10 Marksheet
  • School Leaving Certificate
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  • Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (if applicable)
  • EWS Certificate (if applicable)
  • Disability Certificate (if applicable)
  • Other relevant certificates as per individual eligibility

Part 2: College Preference Selection

  • Students can select a minimum of one and a maximum of ten junior colleges as their preferences.
  • Ensure that the selected colleges align with the desired stream and location preferences.

After completing both parts, students must review their applications thoroughly before final submission.

Document Verification for CBSE and ICSE Students

Due to challenges in retrieving marksheets via DigiLocker, CBSE and ICSE students will need to have their documents verified directly by individual colleges. The education department will also conduct random verifications of 5% of applicants per region to ensure authenticity.
